5th Symphony

Characters: Xion [livejournal.com profile] irreversibly and Brax [livejournal.com profile] trechier
Location: At Xion's house, looking in on the window.
Time: August 18th, midday.
Summary: There are very important things going on, which is why some people can get horribly, horribly distracted by sadly wilting plantlife.
Warnings: None.

Cardinal Braxiatel quietly reminded himself to think of himself as Irving Braxiatel as he walked down the pathway. The information left behind by his future self had been a great deal more direct and concrete than usual; Brax assumed this was before he had intended it not for a past self but for a self in general. And, technically, his future self wasn't his future self so much as his current self with a fair few more memories. Several centuries of memories, in fact.

It wasn't any less awkward, and he found it much better to try to learn more about the town. He walked through the homes for the 'new residents.' He observed everything around him, processing the details as quickly as a computer might, running through multiple possibilities. And then his attention caught on something.

Though Cardinal Braxiatel did not have the centuries of practice at humanity that Irving Braxiatel did, the two versions of himself shared a love for aesthetics, life, and preservation. So it was that Brax stopped dead in his tracks, wearing a somewhat put-out expression, looking through a window at the tragically wilted plantlife inside one of the houses.
