The chosen button flashed for a few seconds, then the whole screen went black as though it were thinking...

It was dark for a good minute before another screen appeared that read:

"To reset Life Support systems, press when ready."

Then a single button appeared, waiting to be pressed. It seemed the terminal won't say whether the choice was right or wrong. But once the button was ready to be pressed, it would work without fail.
