Zombies and pokemon geek outs.
Characters: Leaf and Ten.
Location: The Town
Time: Zombie O'Clock
Summary: Leaf is fighting Zombies. With Pokemon. Ten geeks out over pokemon.
Warnings: Fighting, dead zombies. Maybe zombification?. Will edit as needed.
Another tongue-click and the zombie was engulfed in flame as her rapidash charged it before wheeling around, this time sparking with electricity. One wild charge later and the thing was a charred cinder on the ground, the animal wheeling around with a neigh as ears flickered.
“Good.” She didn’t look at the remains though. The stench of charred flesh mingling in the air around her was enough to make anyone sick. Though, Leaf simply held her head up high, unwilling – unable – to allow it to get to her. Weakness on the battlefield was intolerable.
“Let’s go. There’ll be more around somewhere. What she didn’t say was that she hopped to find somewhere she could take a breather from the fighting. Or, failing that, find another living soul. Anything to tell her that she wasn’t alone in all of this.

Leaf wrapped her arms around him lightly. While she was used to riding a horse with neither reins nor saddle, she had no idea of knowing if it was the same for him. "You said you knew a safe haven?"

"Yes, I did!" Though "safe haven" was something of a misnomer, at least to him. The Cybermen tomb was still very much dangerous, but it was even more inactive than when he first visited it lifetimes ago. Even all the traps had been disabled, and no matter what he did, the Cybermen were mere husks--which said quite a bit for the Cybermen in general. "Out on the lake is a tomb. I can seal the door so those creatures can't get to us."

Leaf giggles a bit at his quip, but it was nervousness more than anything. She couldn't have the pokemon go as fast as he normally would simply because she was unwilling to risk the other falling off. It didn't matter how good a rider he seemed, there was always that chance.
It wasn't long until they reaches the lake and the tomb entrance, the horse coming to a trot with a snort and head shake, wheeling away from the water a bit until Leaf called it to a halt. "Um. Do you require help getting down?"
5'7 is a long way down in Leaf's book.
I'm so sorry this is late!
His cheery demeanour didn't last long, however. He glanced over his shoulder, eyeing the zombies heading their way. "All right, get in! We can do introductions and such later!" He walked in front of the fiery horse, resting a reassuring hand on its head. "I promise you'll be safe. Nothing will harm you in there. Either of you," he added, giving the young woman a warm look.
It's ok!

"Well! Here we are!" He smiled and began to untie the bedsheet containing the medical supplies he'd wrapped within from around his body. "Now, I've got to ask: were you or your horse bitten or scratched by those creatures?"
