Who Doesn't Love Sleepovers?
Characters: Fuu Hououji, Cissie King-Jones, Stephanie Wayne
Location: Luministi Greens West, A8
Time: Saturday, July 3rd, 8 PM
Summary: Cissie decides to throw a sleepover for Fuu and Steph because "they're teenage girls who still need to have fun." After the trials of the last couple of weeks, it's definitely well-deserved.
Warnings: Not at the moment! Will update if necessary.
Oh thank god those statues disappeared. Cissie wasn't sure what she would've done - well, beyond setting the topiaries on fire - if it had lasted much longer. At least it wasn't a horror movie, she had to remind herself. In horror movies, the blondes always died first.
And yet... she, Fuu, and Steph were still alive. It had to be a good sign! Cissie normally didn't put much stake in signals like this, but it was certainly a wonderful excuse to throw a slumber party. She'd gotten some sleeping bags from some of the town shops and laid them comfortably in the living room. On her way home, she'd also made a stop by the grocery store and bought typical snacks (pretzels, soda, potato chips, etc) in addition to renting a cheesy romantic comedy. She hadn't even bothered to check the label: she knew she'd have more fun mocking the dialogue than anything.
Inspecting her work, Cissie couldn't help smiling. "There!" She said to herself as she pushed her couch out of the way for the night. "Everything looks perfect."

None the less, she was determined to enjoy the time and get to know the other two girls. (And... maybe take one night off of so seriously trying to question everyone to find clues about a way home?) With a neatly wrapped box (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffk/743250374/) full of assorted candy from the local candy store and a bag of things for overnighting, she arrived at Cissie's apartment on the other side of town. With a quick glance to make sure that the neighbouring unit wasn't occupied, she propped her bike up against the building and rang the doorbell.

Before that...she'd had a few sleepovers, but there was always that tinge of resentment that she could never risk having them at her own house.
She tucked those thoughts away as she rode her bike - purple, how thoughtful - and shifted her backpack. As she closed in, she caught sight of the door, and...that must be Fuu.

Waiting until she came nearer, she introduced herself with a bow and a bright smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Fuu Hououji."
[ooc: I guess we'll just branch off into some quick introductions before Cissie comes to the door
next week? ^.~]no subject
((Sounds good to me! :3))

"Been at the door, or been in Luministi?" she replied with a little laugh.

Fuu catches herself. Considering that everyone seems to be coming here from different worlds and times, her calendar likely meant nothing to Miss Steph.
"That is, I've been here for almost one month. And you?"
i fail feel free to whip me
Hey! At least you're still here! ^.^ [just going to tie this thread up...]
"But! Don't worry about it for now - tonight is a party, right?"
The question was punctuated by a bit of commotion from inside the house, then Cissie opened the door, inviting them in.
/late to her own party, like always
"Hi guys," She waved, brushing the streamers out of her hair. "I'm so glad you could make it! Come on in!"
Leaning to one side of the door, she held it open for everyone. "And uh, don't mind the decorations. We sorta-kinda got into a fight... about five minutes ago."
[Welcome back! ...And I forgot to track this - go me XD]
"Well, even with the ones that lost the fight, it looks spectacular, Miss Cissie!" It really did - she couldn't remember the last time she'd seen a party set up like this.
"Thank you very much for the invitation," she added, holding out the box of candy for her to take.
No worries! ♥
"Oh wow," Cissie laughed, taking the box of candy into her hands as she continued walking towards the living room. "You didn't have to! Really! ... But thanks."
She set it down on the kitchen counter and started popping the microwave popcorn. "Go ahead and make yourselves at home. I have no clue what you guys wanted to do, so I went ahead and rented some lame movies too."
ahhh I am sorry guys please forgive me
"This is where we compliment the house, right? If, um, this was really your house."

Taking a seat on the couch she said, "I wasn't sure what we'd do either, but watching a movie sounds just fine!" It would be a long distraction from the temptation to start talking about the town. "But perhaps we could share a bit about who we are, first! After all, knowing about one another is important when making friends. I'll start!"
Springing up from the couch she bowed. "My name is Fuu Hououji. I am fourteen years old, and in grade eight. My blood type is A, and I'm a Sagittarius. Oh, and I'm from the city of Tokyo."
[ooc: No worries! <3 I'm totally happy to continue this thread, but I thought I ought to ask - would you rather leave this one so that you have time to join in on the newer plot? Either way is good for me - I'm glad to build some CR with these guys! ^^]
All is forgiven! I can take my time on this.♥
It took her a few minutes, but she got the popcorn and the sodas ready. Putting them on the coffee table - or some place nearby they could access - Cissie then pulled out the movie selection. As promised, they were all incredibly lame B-Horror films and romantic comedies (with titles like The Swamp Thing from Mars and Catching a Guy in Five Days, how could they not be laughable?)
"You are so weird!" Cissie obviously meant it as a joke - and it was obvious from the way she playfully laughed - but she... actually went ahead and played along with Fuu's game.
"I'm Cissie King-Jones... Ah, I'm fifteen years old and a sophomore in high school. Not sure about my blood type, but I'm a Taurus!" Wait, city name... "I'm from Pennsylvania," She remembered as an afterthought. "It's in the United States."
[ooc; I am fine with either. :> Backtagging is one of my specialties. Ball's completely in your court, Ash.]

"Stephanie Wayne, seventeen, New Jersey, USA. Blood type B."
((I'd love to continue! Once I, you know, remember to track the thread.))

"Well, at least this means I'll be able to enjoy the movie without reading subtitles."
Leaning forward she took a look through the selection Miss Cissie had taken out. B-Horror and Rom-Com? She didn't like horror very much, but these didn't look too scary. And the romantic comedies would doubtless make her think of Ferio. (She blushed faintly at the very thought.)
She hoped that the others would choose to watch horror.
no subject
She shrugged, "I personally want a horror movie. I kinda feel like laughing at swamp monsters. ... Though a rom-com wouldn't be bad either."
no subject
"I vote for horror, too. Romance is scarier."
no subject
"And it does absolutely depend on the teacher, doesn't it!" she added to Miss Steph. "And the opportunity to practice. It's easy to forget everything otherwise."
She relaxed a little when the others opted for horror. "That sounds good to me too."
Floundering for a topic that didn't have to do with Luministi or any other serious strangeness, Fuu busied herself with pouring a drink. She felt terribly nostalgic for Hikaru and Umi, who both carried conversation so easily.
no subject
Pumping her fist, Cissie sprung from the couch and put the film in. "All right!" She grinned, glancing back at them. "Let's get this party started!"
She knew exactly why she was being so energetic - the other two seemed to lack the gift of conversation that the members of Young Justice had, so of course Cissie had to make up for it! What else could they talk about later? Boys? Bart briefly crossed her mind--and in that instant, she squished it with the beginning of the movie.
Turning off the lights, Cissie plopped back onto the couch and grabbed some popcorn. Her commentary could wait until something hilariously bad actually happened.
no subject
Cissie's energy was as infectious as her grin, and Steph tapped her feet to the music of the opening credits. (It was eerie and melodramatic, but Dick always told her Robins could dance to anything.)
She grabbed some popcorn, too, but didn't eat it right away; soon enough, she was absently juggling it.
no subject
"That's splendid! Where did you learn to do that?"

"My brother taught me. He used to be in the circus."
no subject
"When we were little my sister talked about wanting to 'run away and join the circus', but I think that was due mostly to the lovely book about the circus coming to town that we liked to read. Father convinced her that the circus is actually a lot of hard work - cleaning up after the animals and practicing all day."
"Your brother is a good teacher," she added, complimenting Miss Steph for her juggling.
no subject
"Makes me wish I had siblings," She laughed. "You guys seem like you have interesting stories about yours."
no subject
She wouldn't say just what took him away from the circus, but... "I didn't have any either, 'til I was thirteen. We're both adopted."
no subject
"'Interesting stories' would be right. There's always a few times where you hate your sibling, no matter how much you love each other in the end."
no subject
"Yeah, but I think my mom would've liked it if I had siblings," Cissie laughed. "I had a helicopter mom. It's not bad, but... she was also seriously overprotective when she wasn't managing my life."
