[Open]
Characters: Heiji and [open]
Location: Luministi Greens West, near B11
Time: Opening of Season 3
Summary: Heiji reacts to his new surroundings by running around and yelling at people, because that's how he rolls
Warnings: None
For a little while, Luministi Greens West experienced a sort of quiet peace. And then Hattori Heiji woke up.
After registering that yes, he was awake, and that yes, he was in some unfamiliar house with no real explanation save for that delivered via vidscreen, he charged out the front door and into the complex at large, the largely forgotten gift basket clutched in one hand.
"If this is some kinda joke, I ain't laughing!" he shouted. Time to find a pay phone or something, and call 110. What was this, some kind of set? Whoever'd made it put a lot of effort into it, all right, but why'd they just dump him in the house without even bothering to tie him up?

"It's... kind of complicated, but one of my dads is kind of a billionaire. Multi-billionaire, probably, but I don't really keep count."

"Anyway, that mayor guy look familiar to you at all? He sure is bold, just showin' his face like that. ...But maybe he ain't the one behind this."
no subject
At the mention of the mayor, Kon shook his head. "I kind of doubt it. If he were the kidnapper, it'd be pretty bold... but there might be others who're interested in us too."

'Something' basically meant 'getting offed by your co-conspirators and having your plans co-opted to construct overly complicated murder mysteries' where Heiji came from. But that was beside the point. "Anyway, since my cell phone's gone, I figured I'd head into town and try a pay phone."

Kon blinked back surprise. It certainly wasn't out of the question, but the thought hadn't actually occurred to him until now. "Yeah? Who'd you call? Superman? The police?"
no subject
He held up his hands, grinning. "Nah, I ain't called anyone yet! You caught me as I was gonna get started. The police might be good for starters, but I thought I'd let my folks and Kazuha know I'm okay, too, or I'll be gettin' it from both ends when I get back."

OH. Kon laughed sheepishly, motioning towards what was presumably downtown Luministi. He nodded in agreement. "That's probably a good idea. I might wanna call my folks too... I mean, I tried using the CAT, but it only works for people who also have it." It was there, it was right in front of him, and it was technology that didn't want to eat his guts out! In Kon's mind, it was theoretically a win-win situation.

"Tell you the truth, I ain't crazy about using some phone a couple of kidnappers handed off to me, either. Could be it's recordin' everything I say on it or something."
