Time: Just after the Doctor has disappeared and Sophie has arrived for the third time.
Summary: Sophie is newly human, back in town, and ready to demand any answers she can get.

[Sophie looks a frazzled mess when she contacts Jamie. her hair is in disarray, for one. also, she appears to be wearing only a bedsheet that she's pinned around her]

Jamie! Jamie, I just heard from Xion, though she's very upset, and--is it true? What's happened to the Doctor? And where are you, for that matter? It looks terribly dark!

But we've all been brought back here. Can you believe the audacity!? It's not as though Filippo Resarci should think he's safe, if you're all still out there, but--what has happened, really? Did he find you? Oh, what we'll do to him when we find him!

[from the look on her face at the moment, it will very possibly involve weedkiller. maybe even green slime, if she can find a way to make it]

[When the CAT switches on, Jamie is investigating some of the bio-luminescence around the stones. Sophie's voice is unmistakable, however, and he quickly turns around to face her - only to wind up gaping at her appearance.]

Sophie? [He stares for a second or two before hurriedly shifting his gaze up to focus on her face rather than the rest of her.]

A-aye, we're still on Fremercury, in some caves. The Doctor was with us, but he's just vanished. What do ye mean, though, all been brought back? Ye and Fuu and Hawk and everyone else?

[her tone is not happy about that explanation] What do you mean "vanished"? Like a spell?

[...maybe she should have checked that before she contacted him. she looks a bit sheepish] Well, I'm not certain, but I'm here, at any rate. And the CATs suddenly seem to be quite busy as well, so there are certainly people here again. Though I can't imagine why!

Aye, could be. One moment he was there with us, and then there was a flash of light and he was gone. Like that.

[He snaps his fingers by way of demonstration, then frowns as he realizes something.]

Hey, it was a bit like the flash I saw when I was first brought here, come to think about it. Maybe that means something. At any rate, Xion's trying to reach him on the CAT, but I think you've gathered that already. Hopefully she'll reach him soon. I don't know how we're going to get out of here without him.

[surprised] Was it? [thoughtfully] Then it's likely that the same people have done it. Perhaps he's come back to the town.

Jamie, if the CAT isn't working, I'll check his townhome. [and, without further ado, she starts toward the door--slightly unsteadily. and still in a sheet. the Doctor might be happy to hear that, despite all their disagreements, he has Sophie worried enough to run off in such a state]

[There's a few seconds where Jamie's brain has to catch up with what's going on on her end, but soon enough it does remind him that maybe her going outside dressed like that's not the best idea.]

Sophie! Wait!! Look, there's no need to go running off right now. She just might not have heard back yet, that's all.

[He blinks, realizing something else.] Hey, wait. You said she. How long have ye known Xion's a girl?

[unfortunately, Sophie is quick to protest] But it's not as though we know tha--curses! [she grabs the wall for support as she trips over the bedsheet] Oh, confound it! I'll go in a moment!

[thankfully, she just realised she's only wearing a sheet. she reaches out to cut the picture on the CAT so she can change]

[distractedly] Hm? Oh, since...well, since the first time I was here, I suppose. [at which point it occurs to her why he might be asking] Goodness! Did you not know?

No, I did not. Not until we started trying to look for Resarci. [And then there was that talk in the TARDIS.]

Besides, it's not as though she looks like a lassie. Not like...aye, well, never mind that.

[He was going to say 'you', but given the bedsheet and all, that's probably not the wisest thing to say, even if the picture is off on the CAT at the moment.]

So did she just out and tell ye, then?

Well, not exactly. [she's quiet for a moment, trying to remember the details] The first time we were in town, there was a...gas leak, I believe. We lost our memories temporarily. When that happened, I didn't understand how the Witch's spell on me had been broken--she'd turned me into an old woman, for a while--and Xion didn't understand why she was in a boy's body, so we spoke to each other about it. [and she doesn't understand why Jamie sounds so annoyed] Didn't she explain it to you?

Well, aye, she did eventually. Just not right away.

[He's pretty sure even the Doctor knew before he did, and he's grumbly about it.] I don't know why she didn't feel like she couldn't tell me sooner. I'm her friend too.

[Sophie frowns, trying to be conciliatory] Well, I'm certain it's a very difficult thing for her to talk about. As I said, I only found out by chance myself.

[she turns the video on the CAT back on now, as she's properly attired in a blue dress. her hair is still quite rumpled, though] And she did decide to tell you, so you must be a good friend.

Aye, I suppose you're right, at that. [And she didn't have to, so there's that. He smiles at her when she reappears, despite himself. Rumpled hair or no, the dress looks quite bonny on her.]

Hey, ye look more like yourself again! Er, that is, without the sheet and all.

[Sophie blushes faintly, a bit embarrassed about the sheet in retrospect] Yes, it looks like all my things are still here.

[but there are much more pressing things to worry about, so she adds:] Jamie, I'm going to see if the Doctor is in his townhome. I'll let you know if I find him, all right?

Aye, that would be good. [Hopefully he'll be there. Or have gotten in touch with Xion, at least.]

Xion and I should go take a look at this cave as long as we're stuck in it anyway.

Yes... [she frowns, not entirely happy that the two of them are exploring alone, but there seems to be nothing for it. so she nods] Good luck, and we'll speak again soon.
