"In Japan, it is custom to greet your neighbors when you move into a new apartment."
Characters: Fuu Hououji and Kamina
Location: Luministi Greens East, A5
Time: Thursday June 17, 10am
Summary: Fuu, being a proper neighbour, finally manages to catch Kamina at home so that she can introduce herself.
Warnings: none.
With a final check of her dress in the mirror Fuu left her apartment and went down two doors to A5. The name plate said "Kamina", no family name, and written in katakana. She wondered if he was really Japanese, seeing as the name was written in that style. (Truly, she didn't even know for sure that this person was a he. It was just an educated guess.)
She'd not run into him in town yet, and she'd never caught him at home in the evenings. So this time, prepared with a plate of fruit and some crescent rolls for brunch as a gift, she came in the morning instead.
She came to offer neighbourly greetings, and to learn more about her ally in this strange town. For anyone who had been summoned here - a 'New Resident' - was in the same boat as her. She might not be able to trust all the New Residents she met, but they were still allies.
With a bright smile Fuu rang the doorbell.

As such, morning was his time to catch some shut eye.
He felt as if he'd only just now settled into a nice dream about all the mole-pig steaks he could eat when a loud chime sounded. All of the steaks disappeared in little puffs of pink smoke before his incredulous eyes. Next, the room itself disappeared, leaving Kamina free falling toward the desert sands.
Kamina opened his eyes, scowling.
Now that the dream was gone, he recognized the sound and crossed to the door, flinging it open without a word.
Who the hell had woken him up?
"Oi." It was a kid. "This isn't your room."
This was obviously his. And he wasn't due to wake up for another five hours. Now that he was awake, there was no way his manly spirit would allow him to go back to bed and miss any more of the day, but that was beyond his point.

And speaking of up, she tilted her head up to regard the young man at the door. Minus the drowsy-just-woke-up look, he looked kind of intimidating.
Yet undaunted, Fuu smiled and pointed at the nameplate beside the door.
"You're right. It belongs to Kamina, which of course, is you. I would hope."
Fuu then bowed and introduced herself. "I'm Fuu Hououji, and I'm your neighbour two doors down. It's a pleasure to meet you. Please forgive me for waking you, but I wanted to introduce myself and talk with you." Holding out the plate of fruit and bag of croissants she added, "I have brunch, if you like."

He took half a moment to regard the bow before his attention was completely stolen by the food. "You don't need to be that polite." He thought about it and jerked a thumb toward the nameplate. "It should say Kamina-sama. I'll take care of it later."
Taking the plate and turning on his heel in one movement, Kamina headed back inside, presumably choosing to leave Fuu at the door.
He called back a moment later once he'd decided where to sit and put the plate in the solarium. "Oi, come on in," he shouted.

At his shouted invitation she hastily stepped inside, closing the door behind her. "Pardon my intrusion," she murmured as she took off her shoes. Being an odd-numbered apartment like hers, it was laid out exactly the same, so she easily made her way in.
"Ah, so, Kamina-sama." She couldn't help but be polite, but she was not used to addressing someone with such a high title. "Are you nobility?" She took a seat at the table and allowed him to serve himself first.
"And how are you doing so far, in this strange town? The weather this week has been most unfortunate."
Happily she'd not had to exit and enter her home several times before getting favourable weather for her quick trip here - it had been simply darkly cloudy and cool. (It would not have gone well to show up appearing to be drenched be in a rainstorm, she thought.)
