Pardon my friend, he's not from here!

Characters: Walker Yumasaki, Fuu Hououji, anyone else who might want to join in!
Location: Out and about town!
Time: August 2nd or maybe the third? After this post.
Summary: Walker asked someone to show him around town and is meeting up with Fuu for a bit of a tour! They'll probably geek it up all along the way.
Warnings: N/A!

Luministi had already given Walker a good impression before he even left the house he ended up in - a town full of mystery and excitement, with people from all sorts of different universes. It wasn't completely unlike Ikebukuro, except it was simultaneously on a larger and smaller scale. As far as he was aware, no one there was actually from another dimension!

Anyway, for now it was just important to get his bearings and explore every nook and cranny of this place. Walker was already at a disadvantage, having arrived in the middle of a string of murders (apparently) and not having any of his friends around for backup. But, well, that was the way spontaneous interdimensional travel went, he supposed. There was no point in getting upset. Instead, Walker maintained his default smile and fiddled around with his CAT a bit to confirm where he was going: Northwest, Town Square. That was simple enough! He just needed to hope that he could still ride a bike. It had been a while.

After leaving another message to Fuu, Walker set to work making his way over to the nearest corner of Town Square.

And upon arriving in the vicinity...

What was the person who designed this town on at the time? Seeing the place in color made the stylistic differences between some of the buildings painfully obvious - it was just as weird as the black and white recording of the Mayor when color recordings were clearly available!

As Fuu biked west, she wondered just how in the world she could concisely explain what was going on here. (Or for that matter, if she could say anything concise at all. She seemed to be having a bit of trouble with that.) Well, nothing wrong with lots of information!

Mister Yumasaki seemed to be very easy-going, and she looked forward to talking with him. Perhaps his experience - fictional though it seemed to be - would bring some interesting insight to the very real dangers in the town right now.

She found the narrow-eyed boy looking somewhat incredulously at the ecliptic buildings of the shopping center across the street.

"It's all about as eclectic as the people who have been summoned here," she said, giving him a little wave as she got off her bike.
"A pleasure to meet you." She gave a bow.

[oh, man, you crack me up XD]

"Dark and angsty, yes, you could say so! Murders might do that to a person." Her face darkens, even though her tone is still happy." I was really not feeling well after the first one, but, well, I remembered who I was!" Fuu gives a wry grin at that clever use of the phone booth's message. "But I think we're still in a angsty arc. Well, maybe? I feel pretty happy, all things considered."

Oh, but how she was going on!

"I was wondering, where are you from, Mister Yumasaki? If I may say so, your name is wonderfully Japanese-sounding..."

She smiled at his reasoning - She was trying to be strong and optimistic, but there was lots drama, made all the more severe because of the deaths.

"Oh~! Ikebukuro! I'm from Tokyo myself. So you must actually be speaking to me in Japanese... That is, the CAT devices translate automatically for us - everyone else is actually speaking who-knows-what languages, although English seems to be popular. No communication barrier though! Even my English homework is translated."

Taking a deep breath she beamed at him. Someone from home!

"Ah, as for where to go, perhaps we can walk around town in a circle." She pulls out her CAT and brings up the map. "We'll go by the Sheriff's office, Town Hall, go south at the library and take it from there."

Moon Crystal Palace!

At that, Fuu laughed. An unusual, out-right laugh like she hadn't had since coming here. Having someone else like this from Japan was absolutely delightful.

"Oh, it is rather like that, isn't it! But I doubt that we'll find the Sailor Senshi in there. Or if they are, they're well hidden. I work there part-time. I just had to do something, you know? Because the 'wise guide type' was missing this time."

Thankfully they came before the Sheriff's office before she could keep rambling on that topic.

"You got here so recently, I don't know that you'd have had the chance to hear it yet - the previous Sheriff was murdered. He was the first. Then was the butcher." Despite the dire topic, she felt so cheerful... "Something must be wrong. Murder is- is- terrible, but I don't feel depressed..."

Realizing she'd been speaking aloud again she apologised. "Anyways. The Sheriff and his deputies are working pretty hard on the case. Just before you came Sheriff Issus told us to come for an interview about the murders."
She shared with him about that, how the CATs were dated wrong (and offered to fix his), and about her contacting the Mayor about the 'new resident program.'

"Which brings us to the Town Hall."

Fuu couldn't help but give a start when he said that she could be a magical girl.

"It's not a secret, really, but my magic doesn't work in Tokyo," she said before she could stop herself. She was babbling anything! With a blush she hurriedly continued.

"No proof yet! I don't know if he's just old recordings though. The Doctor managed to break into the Mayor's office and saw a bunch of recording equipment and the desk set up exactly as we saw it in the broadcasts, but of course, no Mayor."

With a shrug she added, "I've tried see him three times by appointment, but every time I wasn't able to see him. I just recently sent a message to his voice mail, but I wonder if I'll get a reply."
